Product Overview

SOL Calcium Flakes (Calcium Carbonate Flakes) are high-performance, plate-shaped bridging agents used in drilling fluid systems for effective fluid loss control and formation sealing. Unlike conventional granular calcium carbonate, the flake structure provides enhanced surface coverage and superior bridging efficiency, making it particularly effective in sealing pores, fractures, and permeable zones.

When added to drilling fluids, the flakes align and overlap within the formation, creating a dense, low-permeability barrier that minimizes filtrate invasion while maintaining wellbore stability. One of the key advantages of calcium carbonate is its acid solubility, allowing the material to be easily removed during post-drilling acidizing treatments. This makes it highly suitable for reservoir drilling where preserving formation productivity is critical. Compatible with both water-based (WBM) and oil-based mud (OBM) systems, Calcium Carbonate Flakes deliver reliable performance across a wide range of drilling conditions, including offshore, ERD, and HPHT environments.
