SOL Starch HT

Drilling Starch HT

Fluid Loss Control Agent

Drilling Starch HT

Product Overview

SOL Starch HTis a Drilling Starch (HT Grade) is a high-temperature resistant polymer additive used in water-based drilling fluid systems for advanced fluid loss control under elevated temperature conditions. In high-temperature wells, conventional starch products tend to degrade, resulting in increased fluid loss, poor filter cake quality, and reduced drilling efficiency. HT Grade Drilling Starch is specially modified to maintain stability and performance in high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) environments.

When added to drilling fluids, HT starch hydrates and forms a stable, low-permeability filter cake on the wellbore wall, effectively minimizing filtrate invasion into the formation. Its enhanced thermal stability ensures consistent performance even in deep wells and challenging drilling conditions. This helps maintain wellbore integrity, reduce formation damage, and improve overall drilling efficiency. Drilling Starch HT Grade is compatible with water-based mud (WBM) systems and performs reliably across offshore, extended reach drilling (ERD), and high-temperature operations worldwide.
